INSTRUCTORS

Terrie Honeycutt
Terrie de la Garza  |  Principle Instructor

Terrie is an RYT-certified yoga instructor, as well as a group fitness instructor teaching at several gyms and small studios throughout the Austin area. CorePower and Baptiste trained, Terrie has been teaching yoga since 2014 but involved in group fitness for 8 years. Terrie found yoga after years of athletics causing injury, resulting in several surgeries to repair her left knee. Yoga became both a physical and spiritual support for her, and ignited her love and passion for it.

Terrie teaches a variety of classes from gentle flow to vinyasa to power yoga, offering options that can cater to any yogi regardless of their level. Her classes focus on the breath guiding the practice, and encouraging the mind/body connection. Lighthearted in spirit, Terrie teaches her classes from the heart, often reminding her students their bodies are their best teachers, and she just their guide.

Kelsey Nunez  |  Principle Instructor

Kelsey loves the flow of yoga and how it corresponds with the ebb and flow of life, a series of movements with their differing complexity and how we respond to them based on listening to our inner guide. Showing up on her mat is often the highlight of her day, combining movement with breath with alignment. She has experience teaching all levels of yoga. Although her classes are not for the faint of heart, she can tailor the practice to meet the needs of each student. Kelsey's classes allow individuals to work towards building strength as well as cultivating flexibility and openness while also finding peace and calm while you ride the breath.  She encourages her students to explore their edge while connecting deeply with their inner knowing, but she also believes playfulness and having fun is part of the process. Her classes are structured to make you leave feeling stronger, calmer, more expansive and kinder.
Jenny Loehr
Jenny Loehr  | Instructor

Jenny is a California native who found her way to Texas in 1992.  She began practicing yoga shortly after her arrival in Austin.  After discovering her passion for the practice she received her 200 hour RYT certificate and has been teaching all levels of yoga since 2008.  Jenny’s classes are student-friendly with a variety of modifications provided to benefit the beginner as well as the advanced yomogi.  The emphasis of her teaching is on proper alignment, disciplined movement, and the use of breath to help safely advance into deeper postures while avoiding injury.  Jenny’s classes are perfect for athletes as well as those suffering from sports-related injuries with modifications provided to help strengthening and healing.  Her style of teaching is very light-hearted with the use of music to enhance the overall experience.

Carissa Chiu  |  Instructor

Originally from Arizona, Carissa first started practicing yoga in her college dorm room with yoga DVDs. While yoga was initially a casual hobby, she eventually found yoga was more than just a physical practice - it was a way to help build strength, relax her mind, and self-improve from the inside out. Through yoga Carissa has gained a better understanding of herself, and she loves how she can learn something new every time she comes to her mat. As a teacher she strives to empower and inspire her students, and help them discover what yoga can do for them.
