A great article from the New York Times about yoga aimed at beginners. It really speaks to a core component of Yomosas®, which is removing the intimidation factor from yoga. As the article states: "Yoga is for everyone." Although oddly the piece never mentions mimosas! Photo credit: the New York Times The article talks about the 10 yoga poses you need to know, a background on yoga as a practice, yoga + meditation, yoga gear, and more. A great primer for everyone that's new or just beginning yoga along with some great visuals. I highly recommend it. You can read the entire piece here.

![]() On January 25th, 2017 Yomosas celebrated our 2 year anniversary! It's been a lot of fun, we've learned a lot along the way, and it's been exciting being a part of Austin's yoga community. And now that we're a little older (and wiser?) we've decided to make a few changes to how things work with Yomosas. These changes are in part about making the business easier to run, but mostly about providing a better experience for our Yomogis. We know that these changes might result in a couple bumps in the road, so we do ask for your patience along the way. Just know that we have all of our Yomogis in mind and anytime you have a question or comment, please reach out to us. Read more about the changes below ... Thanks to a lot of hard work by Sherri Wilson Yomosas is now trademarked! No, we're not getting ready to sue anyone. (That doesn't quite go with our vibe.) But we're really happy to have grown our offering enough to make it a little more tangible. And it's more fun when we use #yomosas on FB and Instagram!
Author: John Liska Ha! I didn't even know Lenovo had a line of laptops called Yoga. Not really geared towards yogis but interesting nonetheless. I've had a Lenovo X220 for 5+ years, maybe I should upgrade to a Yoga ...
What is Yomosas thankful for this year? For us it's not "what" but "who": Some truly amazing, awesome, friendly, and dedicated people.
Author: John Liska At 1:48pm today Chris and Jen welcomed Ruby Victoria Bash into the world. Ruby is a happy, healthy 6lbs 12 oz. Congratulations!!
Ruby will hopefully be taking over the check-in process for Chris and me in a few weeks so we can focus on more important things, like watching football. Author: John Liska ![]() We're excited to announce our latest partnership: StudioHop! We started working with Natalie and her team this past spring. Admittedly it took some convincing on their part as we had never considered the multi-studio approach before. But now the integration is complete and all StudioHop members can RSVP and attend Yomosas classes through StudioHop. author: John Liska It's hard to believe that we held our first Yomosas class just 6 months ago. (We were so young back then.) Chris and I have certainly faced some challenges. Seriously, how many thunderstorms and road closures can happen in a 3-month span? But we've learned a lot along the way and hopefully made the Yomosas experience that much better for our yomogis.
That said, we couldn't have accomplished this without help. In particular we'd like to thank the marketing and event staff at Abel's on the Lake, and especially our fantastic instructor Jenny Loehr. Thanks everyone! Looking forward to the next 6 months ... Author: John Liska Offering yoga, mimosas, top-notch instructors, and distinct venues is ... great! But we're always striving to do more for our yomogis. Today I'm happy to announce we've gone live with our Yomosas Rewards Program! It's our way of saying thanks for being a part of what we're building.
We're starting off with a Referral rewards. It's pretty simple: if you refer a new member to Yomosas have that person fill out the referral form. Once we have your name in the system (for providing the referral) you'll automatically receive 80 points in our Rewards Program, which you can use towards the purchase of future classes or class packages. Want to refer more than 1 person? You'll receive 80 points for each one! We hope to expand our Rewards Program in the future, but for now we wanted to show our appreciation for those yomogis who are spreading the word about Yomosas and bringing their friends. Thanks! |
